硅谷女性协会(http://www.svwomen.org)成立于2001年2月，是一个经加州州政府注册，立足美国硅谷，面向广大职业女性的非牟利机构。协会成立至今不断壮大，现已有1000多名会员。硅谷女性协会集中了旧金山湾区各行各业的优秀华人职业女性，并有一个组织完善，充满合作精神的义工团队。我们每个月定期举办两至三次的文化，艺术，职业，户外，社交等活动，受到女性朋友们的热烈欢迎。“硅谷女性”协会2006年度的工作重心是：慈善，公益，文化。
硅谷女性协会在2005年举办的第一届庆祝母亲节慈善筹款义演获得巨大成功,共筹得五千多美元善款用于资助中国贫困地区失学儿童。此次活动得到包括加州州长在内的美国主流社会，中华人民共和国驻旧金山总领事馆，湾区众多社团领袖及爱心人士的鼓励和支持。被誉为湾区最成功，最具影响力的华人社区公益慈善活动之一。今年我们决定继续举办第二届慈善筹款义演，希望筹得足够款项,与欣欣教育基金会(http://www.shinshinfoundation.org/)合作,在中国最贫困地区建立第一所“硅谷女性”小学，并设立奖学金资助中国失学儿童。
如果您欣赏过我们去年的演出盛况，那么您一定对湾区顶尖艺术家们的精彩表演记忆犹新。今年我们将继续邀请旧金山湾区来自两岸三地最杰出的表演艺术家，音乐家，歌唱家，舞蹈家，时装模特参加我们的慈善义演，还会有让您惊喜的神秘嘉宾现身。我们还将同时举办“名人义卖”活动。义卖品包括大量湾区知名人士和善心人士捐赠的艺术品，古董及著名作家的签名赠书。

欣欣教育基金会介绍
欣欣教育基金会(http://www.shinshinfoundation.org/)成立于1997年，目的是协助中国边远或贫困地区助建小学。欣欣教育基金会长期接受捐款，提供资金，在中国偏远贫困，缺乏教育的地区兴建学校，从1998年到2004年，他们已捐建了169 所小学，遍布全国各贫困地区。
About Silicon Valley Women
Silicon Valley Women is a non-profit organization for professional women. We provide a social network to enrich the lives of our members. We are dedicated to supporting worthwhile causes, such as the education of future generations. We offer various development programs to help women improve their careers, health and education. We reach out to the community to cultivate our culture and heritage. In 2006, the executive team of Silicon Valley Women will focus their work on "charity, community service and culture."
Silicon Valley Women is a committed supporter of the education of Chinese children living in poverty. In 2005, we presented a successful charity performance that brought out an outpouring of support throughout the Bay Area for those Chinese children. We collected over $5000 in donations to the Shin Shin Educational Foundation, which constructs schools in poor regions of China. This year, to extend the memorable success of our first charity performance, we are organizing our 2nd charity performance. Our goal is to build the first "Silicon Valley Women" elementary school in China. Our mission has touched many acclaimed Chinese artists in San Francisco Bay Area. They accepted our invitation and will present their finest performances. The 2nd charity performance will be an all-star ensemble including special celebrity guests. We are also proud to present the Silicon Valley Women fashion team, which exemplifies poetic elegance and confidence.
Our engagement in the charity performance relies upon the care and generosity of people from around the Bay Area. Join our effort to make this performance a success. We believe that this effort will give fresh hope to these needy children, and light the way to a more beautiful world. You can contribute to this event by:

About Shin Shin Educational Foundation
The Shin Shin Educational Foundation was founded in 1997. The Shin Shin Educational Foundation constructs and rebuilds primary schools in underdeveloped regions of China, in order to improve the learning environment for needy children and provide the basic education that all children deserve. From 1998 to 2004, the Foundation has helped 169 schools to blossom in remote and impoverished areas.
