Lake Chabot, part of the East Bay Municipal Utilities District (EBMUD) water supply for the City of Oakland, is located within Anthony Chabot Regional Park. Encompassing nearly 5000 acres, the park is home to many other recreational activities, such as camping, picnicking, horseback riding, hiking and mountain biking. This ride follows a route completely around the park along mostly rural roads, with the exception of the section in San Leandro.
